5loyalty gives restaurants the digital tools and data to better understand and segments their customers, run effective trackable marketing campaigns and attract new customers. Customers are kept happy through exciting loyalty promotions, instant in-app ordering, table reservations and direct feedback. This Pure project is one example.
What are my key learnings?
Running a business and building a SaaS solution with limited resources is hard. However, I have gained valuable experience managing software engineers and also managing the expectations of stakeholders. The leadership experience I have gained with 5Loyalty has been valuable in my further career in senior and lead engineering roles I have since worked in.
The experience of working with Django/React has also taught me a lot about best practices and the value of high-quality code. Without this experience, I would not have learned Django/React as early as I did, which has given me a significant benefit.
